Solar heat pump

Cool all summer. Heat all winter. Runs through outages.

Common questions

Straight answers. No solar jargon.

It's a completely off-grid solar + battery system installed on your property. Solar panels on ground frames charge a 16 kWh battery during the day. You plug your EV into the Level 2 charger and wake up to free miles. Or power your RV. Or run your shop. The battery also keeps essentials running when the grid goes down.

Nothing connects to your utility. No net metering, no interconnection agreement, no waiting on the power company. Every install is fully permitted and inspected. It's your power on your property.
It depends on your car and how many panels you have. A 4-panel system produces about 2,160 kWh/year in Oregon. An efficient EV like a Bolt or Leaf gets about 3.5 miles per kWh. That's roughly 7,500 free miles per year. A bigger truck like a Silverado EV gets about 2.1 mi/kWh, so closer to 4,500 miles.

Summer covers your full commute easily. Winter is roughly half output. The 16 kWh battery gives you multi-day buffer for cloudy stretches. Add 2 more panels (+$1,000) for more winter headroom. Tell us your car and your commute and we'll give you honest seasonal estimates.
We don't touch your roof. The panels sit on ballasted ground frames that weigh themselves down, so the array needs no roof penetrations and no concrete footings dug into your yard. No roof leaks, no voided roof warranty.

If you ever want to move the array, you can, it's not anchored into the ground. The racking carries a 25-year warranty.
Yes. We install a solar heat pump that cools in summer and heats in winter, running on your panels during the day when it's hottest and the sun is strongest. When the grid drops in a fire shutoff, your comfort stays on.

Start standalone for $5,730, or add it to any system for $4,897. Tell us your space and we'll size it right.
Yes, with the house backup add-on ($1,500). We install a manual transfer switch at your main panel, the same hookup every electrician uses for gas generators. When the power goes out, flip the switch and your selected circuits stay powered. Fridge, freezer, lights, internet, phone charging.

16 kWh runs essentials for roughly 2-3 days on battery alone. Solar recharges during the day, extending that further. Add a second battery for even more runway.
Professional-grade American equipment. Your inverter and battery come from EG4, an American energy company based in Texas. 12kW of continuous power and a 16 kWh battery rated for 10 years. Solar panels carry a 25-year warranty. Ground mounts are engineered to last 25 years. EV charging is a hardwired Level 2 charger that works with every EV.

Every install includes a licensed electrician, all wiring and conduit, grounding, and a 2-year workmanship warranty from us on top of manufacturer warranties.
Most systems are installed in one day. We handle everything: ground frames, panel placement, battery and inverter mounting, all wiring, and a full system walkthrough when complete. From inquiry to install, most customers are up and running within a few weeks.
Battery: 10-year manufacturer warranty. Solar panels: 25-year performance warranty. Inverter: 5-year manufacturer warranty. Ground mounts: 25-year structural warranty. Oregon Solar Express workmanship: 2-year warranty on all installation work. If anything we installed fails or needs adjustment, we come back and make it right.
A 4-panel system is about 15 ft wide by 3 ft deep. 6 panels is about 22 ft wide. Panels mount on ground frames, south-facing. The inverter and battery mount on a wall indoors (shed, garage, carport). Works in driveways, side yards, fence lines, or open yard. We confirm the footprint works before scheduling your install.
Every install is fully permitted and inspected, done by a licensed electrician, and that's your protection. What you don't need is the utility company. It's an off-grid system, so there's no interconnection agreement, no net metering paperwork, no waiting on the power company. Your power, your property.
